STUDY GRANTS:
Each year (closing date end March) the Fund may issues study grants (once off payment) to applicants who are successful in their tertiary studies; these members being contributors of the Fund and members of the Arm Of Service: SAMHS.
- The grants are offered to one student per family, whether it is the contributor, spouse or a dependent, to assist with the cost of tertiary education. Those students studying at state expenses will not qualify.
- Such grants are available for undergraduate study from 2nd year level onward.

FUNERAL POLICY:
Included in the monthly or annual subscription, payable by contributors, is a funeral policy to the value of R25 000. The amount will be paid out by Siyavika in the event of the main member or spouse / life partner passing away. To continue with the policy after retirement, please contact the SAMHS Fund Office, 012 664-8459 as this benefit is not for free. The benefit is also still available, at an additional cost, to contributors resigning from the SAMHS.
