The Kwazulu Natal South Coast is a haven for tourists to unwind and experience a abundance of scenic attractions. Adventure Activities - For those adrenaline junkies there is a selection of adrenaline filled activities to participate in at the well known Oribi Gorge (30km). Activities include river rafting, Gorge Swing, Abseiling and Kloofing. There is also skiing and other activities in Port Shepstone, and other towns along the coast.

Nature - If you would like to spend some time out in the bush exploring the natural wonders, there are some nature reserves in the area. These reserves are the Oribi Gorge Game Reserve, with a variety of hiking trails as well as Mt bike trails; the Vernon Crooks Nature Reserve near Umzinto and the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve near Port Edward.

If this still is not enough for you then Durban is a mere 110km away, and is a comfortable drive on highway all the way. |

Croc World - (Scottburgh)- This popular tourist attraction is one of the largest crocodile farms in South Africa and hosts not only crocodiles but also a variety of snakes, birds, monkeys and parrots.
Riverbend Crocodile farm - (Ramsgate)- Riverbend Crocodile Farm owned by the Kelly family has been managed by Howard Kelly the eldest son of the late Corky Kelly since 1989. The farm is open daily with the exception of Good Friday and Christmas day each year and the operating hours are from 9h00 to 16h30 daily. Feeding takes place on Sunday afternoons.
Home to more than 200 adult nile crocodiles and numerous juveniles of all sizes, tourist visiting Riverbend Crocodile Farm are able to view the crocodiles in their natural habitat. Beautifully landscaped breeding enclosures are not only home to crocodiles but to numerous bird species as well. |

Port Shepstone Lighthouse - The lighthouse is situated at the mouth of the Umzimkulu River on the Natal South Coast. The town was named after a well known statesman in native affairs, Sir Theophilus Shepstone.

Space Centre - (Port Edward) The Space Centre consists of an astronomical museum, with probably the largest private collection of telescopes, books and optical equipment and astronomical photographs and posters, as well as lasers, an observatory, which was originally on top of the Planetarium and a small planetarium seating 80 people. |
